Like a Prayer: Amiens asks Madonna to loan painting

ENCORE! © FRANCE 24

The mayor of Amiens, in northern France, has asked Madonna to lend the city a 19th-century canvas named "Diana and Endymion" by Jérôme-Martin Langlois. It was once on display in an Amiens museum, but the artwork was lost after the city was bombed during World War I. It's believed that the singer has since acquired either the original painting or a copy.

Also in the show, we see how a new influx of tourists are flocking to Paris, eager to check out the spots featured in the Netflix hit series "Emily in Paris".

Plus we find out more about the Tamil-language film breaking box office records in India, and the Sundance film festival kicks off with a charming début from Burkinabè filmmaker Walé Oyéjidé.
