'Like a European night in Germany!' Leeds United fans hail atmosphere at Sydney pre-season friendly

Leeds United fans were quick to salute the atmosphere at the Bankwest Stadium as their side took on Western Sydney Wanderers in the second of their two-match tour Down Under.

Marcelo Bielsa's men headed out to Sydney following the 4-0 defeat to Manchester United in Perth for a clash against the A-League Wanderers in the first football match to be staged at the new stadium.

Prior to the match travelling and local Leeds fans took to social media to share pictures of themselves at the ground, but volume levels increased at kick-off, with a rowdy set of fans behind one of the goals in a a safe standing area.

While the local supporters waved flags and banged drums, it was the Leeds fans that were given the most to shout about early doors when Mateusz Bogusz pulled the trigger after receiving a pass from Jack Harrison on the edge of the box and opened the scoring.
