Lightwater Valley Theme Park is a popular day trip from Newcastle and the North East, especially when you have youngsters to entertain.
The North Yorkshire park opens for half-term from February 15 to 22 for under eights, with some fairground rides available, then closes until Easter when it reopens from April 4-19.
The website states: "Due to the new theme park regulations from the British Standards Institute (BS EN13814-1) regarding ride accessibility, Lightwater Valley has reviewed its operating procedures and as a result some ride height restrictions have been amended accordingly."
It's worth checking out the list to avoid possible disappointment after travelling from Newcastle or the North East.

The Twister spinning rollercoaster, which a boy fell from in May last year is no longer in operation.
