TAMPA, Fla. — The Lightning will open their first-round playoff series against the Florida Panthers on Sunday at BB&T Center in Sunrise.
The league announced the first four games of the eight first-round playoff series after all the seedings became set Wednesday night.
The Lightning’s series opener against Florida will be Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Game 2 will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the BB&T Center before the series moves to Tampa for Games 3 and 4 on Thursday, May 20 (6:30 p.m.) and Saturday, May 22 (12:30 p.m.) at Amalie Arena.
The remaining game times, if necessary, will be announced at a later date. This will be the first time the Lightning and Panthers have met in the playoffs.
Lightning first-round games will be broadcast on Bally Sports Sun. Panthers broadcasts will be shown on Bally Sports Florida.
The Lightning are holding a drive-through pep rally this Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at WestShore Plaza, where there will be live music, Lightning giveaways, yard signs and car decorations and ThunderBug and the Blue Crew will be in attendance.
There are also plans for watch parties at Amalie Arena for Sunday and Tuesday night’s games, and fans not attending Games 3 and 4 at Amalie Arena can watch outside the arena at Thunder Alley. Details on those events, which will be ticketed, will be announced later.
