TAMPA, Fla _ The Lightning avenged the end of their point streak on Saturday with a convincing win 5-2 over San Jose.
The Sharks ended Tampa Bay's 16-point streak two weeks ago, but the Lightning cruised to a win this time around.
Yanni Gourde came up with the game-winner in the second period, his first goal in nine games and second in the last 20.
Steven Stamkos' shot was wide of the net but Gourde was there at the post to "one-time" the rebound off the wall past goaltender Martin Jones.
His celebration was primal: Gourde threw his head back and screamed.
Mathieu Joseph got things started 3:32 into the game. He found the rebound of Anthony Cirelli's shot and knocked it past Jones.
Alex Killorn added another late in the first period. Brayden Point got turned around and couldn't get a shot off. Killorn picked up the puck and scored.
Evander Kane, who had two the last time these teams played scored twice for the Sharks to tie the game up. The first was a power-play goal with 21 seconds left in the first period and the next came 58 seconds into the second period.
Victor Hedman added an insurance goal on the power-play a few minutes after Gourde's goal. He came down the slot with speed and wristed a shot past Jones.
Stamkos scored twice in the third period, including a power-play goal with 5:45 left.
Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy didn't have to make many crazy saves after the first period, but had a few nice ones and finished with 36 on 39 shots.
