Light plane crashes at Lockyer Valley

A man has walked away from light plane crash at Gatton in south-east Queensland.

The plane made an emergency landing in a lettuce field off Dwyers Road after the pilot reported engine trouble just before 3:00pm.

Police said the it flipped on landing and a local farmer used a forklift to right the plane.

The pilot was not seriously hurt and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
