The "Awakening Bangkok 2021/2022" will bring back energy to the neighbourhoods of Charoen Krung, Talad Noi and also Soi Nana of Chinatown, from Friday to April 3 from 5-11pm.

Held under the theme "Re:Vive" by Time Out Bangkok, the lighting installation festival will bring more than 50 installations at 31 participating venues across what is hailed the city's "creative district".

This year's highlights include "GrabFood: Exclusive Chef Battle" presented under the theme "Immersive Digital Mapping Chef's Table" by five leading chefs in Thailand; the "Foodie Night Market" where various mouthwatering foods from #GrabThumbsUp will be served; and "Foodtitude Art Installations" which feature a unique combination of a spectacular light show and the science of taste.

Jonnie Walker will light up the evenings with a series of happenings under the "Awaken Thai Streets" concept, showcasing eye-popping light installations at the Grand Postal Building and along the multi-cultural street of Charoen Krung.

Visitors will enjoy refreshing and inventive drink recipes from a pop bar at Warehouse 30 and other local business alliances. At the entrance of Soi Nana in Yaowarat, Johnnie Walker Yellow House will highlight modern Chinese culture through a pop-up bar with a silent disco.

There will also be a daytime walking tour for those who are curious about the long-established restaurants and enduring buildings in the old neighbourhood of Bangkok.

To ensure health and safety, visitors are advised to check visitor numbers at participating locations via the Awakening Bangkok App.

There is no admission fee. Visit timeout.com/bangkok/th or facebook.com/TimeOutBangkokTH.
