Lifetime confirm when Dance Moms will be back on UK TV for new season

There was some uncertainty whether the show would ever return with head honcho Abby Lee Miller spending a spell behind bars and many of its original stars flying the news but Dance Moms WILL be back on TV and sooner thank you think.

Yes, the show that has millions across the globes hooked for the best part of a decade has been confirmed to return for an eighth season as Abby battles a cancer that has left her unable to walk.

After its debut in 2011, Dance Moms quickly became a household phenomenon with Abby making household names out of her students including Maddie Ziegler, who shot to fame as the girl in Sia's Chandelier video, Kendall Vertes and Jo-Jo Sawa, who is course famous for her bows.

The last season of the show saw the OGs leave the ALDC to form their own dance group and only one of the dancers from season 7 is set to appear in the new run - Lilliana Ketchman, who has also appeared in a Sia video - Move Ya Body.

Lifetime have confirmed that Dance Moms will back on UK TV in June.

It is set to debut in America on Tuesday, June 4.

In the trailer for season 8, Abby, who attracted thousands of people to a special meet and greet at Gateshead's Lancastrian Suite in 2017, says "“In an instant, your life changes completely.

“I was ready to go back to work and start my life over and now I can’t even walk.”

“I need to get back to teaching and I need to get back to screaming at children.

“I need to get back to my roots. I’m going to take these kids right back to the turf.”

Over the weekend Abby shared clips of her new ALDC competition team's first contest of the new season on her Instagram page.
