Lifesize Lego snowmen appear at White Rose Shopping Centre

The White Rose Shopping Centre is well and truly stepping into Christmas with the arrival of 16 giant Lego Snowmen.

The lifesize Lego models of The Snowman and The Snowdog are dotted throughout the shopping centre and kids are being encouraged to track them down on White Rose brick trail. A staggering 50,000 bricks were used to build each of Lego models, which stand at 180cm tall.

They will be put into place on Saturday, November 23 and will stay until Friday, January 3.

Youngsters can collect a free trail map from the centre entrances or the Customer Service Centre and return it once they've completed the trail to collect a festive treat.

The Christmas Market Corner has also launched outside Cineworld at the White Rose, serving festive treats and drinks.

The White Rose Grotto is also open, where kids can visit Santa and get a gift for £5.

People who want to avoid the weekend crowds to do a bit of Christmas shopping can also take advantage of the shopping centre's extended opening hours.

From Friday, November 29, the White Rose will be open 9am to 10pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm on Saturdays and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
