If you’re trying your best to keep your calories down, you may find yourself skipping out on dessert or a sweet treat throughout the day. However one fitness and food vlogger proves you don’t have to miss out on chocolatey treats to keep healthy.

TikToker Kikicooksfood has shared a healthy brownie recipe you can enjoy for just 95 calories. She also shows how you can meal prep and freeze them so you can enjoy them throughout the week.

In her video which has 345k views, Kiki says she had an idea to freeze brownie mix as meal prep, which to her surprise, worked a treat.

Firstly, you’re going to freeze little balls of nutella for 10 minutes. Kiki uses deep ice-cube trays to pop her brownie mix into before placing the nutella balls in the centre of each brownie.

These are the ingredients used for the mix:

  • 100g oats blended
  • 80g 0% fat yoghurt
  • 1 egg white
  • 50g sweetener
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • 150ml almond milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 40g Nutella (5g per brownie)

Freeze overnight and from there on out you can heat them up as you please.

The mix makes 8 brownies and the macros per one are 13 g Carbohydrates, 3g Fat and 4g Protein.

Kiki cooks a single brownie in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 170 C - however viewers in the comment suggested using more economically friendly ways of cooking them, such as using an air fryer, or cooking them while you have something else in the oven.

Another user suggested: “It would actually be more convenient and energy efficient to bake them all and freeze the baked brownies and microwave them as needed.”

However, regardless of the cooking method, Kiki’s low calorie brownies were a hit.

Roz said: “This is a lifesaver for my lack of self control if a bake 6 at a time.”

Becca commented: “Oh my this is genius,” while Nai said: “this is such a good idea and how cute is that little dish.”

Another user said meal prepping the brownies was “Such a good idea!!”

Kamilla was sold from the start: “You got me when you added nutella! I’ll try!”
