Life with Castleknock native Colin Farrell is like 'being in the Beatles' confesses Oscar winner

Rachel Weisz has compared life with Castleknock native Colin Farrell in Dublin to "being in The Beatles".

The Academy Award winner has starred in movies like ‘The Bourne Legacy’, ‘The Mummy’ and ‘Fred Claus’. She is married to blue eyed James Bond, Daniel Craig and had starred with Colin Farrell in ‘The Lobster’.

The Londoner told Today FM that she was awestruck by the level of fame Colin Farrell had in his home county.

She said: “Being in Dublin with him was like being in The Beatles.

“It was just insane.”

Rachel expressed her hopes of returning to the capital soon, a city she had become familiar with during her time filming ‘The Lobster’.

She said: “I wish I was in Dublin.”

Rachel has recently starred alongside Florence Pugh and Robert Downey, Jr. in the latest addition to the hugely popular Marvel series.

The latest superhero movie, ‘Black Widow’ was delayed due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Dubliner, Colin Farrell had previously spoken to Dublin Live about the difficulties of lockdown and staying apart to stay safe.

He said: “I am aware that I am fortunate to have food in the fridge, a nice house and money in the bank, but for the first time during those 10 days, I became so aware that I was always used to having touch in my life.

“I literally mean the handshake with your barista in the coffee shop down the road, a hug with a friend, a high five, a knuckle bump, whatever it may be.”
