Life-sized animatronic dinosaurs to feature in zoo's virtual lockdown event

Families will be able to see dozens of life-sized animatronic dinosaurs in a live virtual event today.

Paradise Wildlife Park is letting us inside to see its 32 motion sensored dinos as part of a live event on Facebook.

To coincide with World Dinosaur Day, the World of Dinosaurs: LIVE event is on from 4pm on Friday, May 15, offering a tour around the attraction.

With the Hertfordshire park currently closed amid the pandemic, the zoo is finding other ways to show people around.

Anna Tank, from the wildlife park, said: "It will be a virtual tour of our 32 life size and motion sensored dinosaurs.

"There will be a presenter as well to go over all the cool dino facts."

It usually costs £3,000 a day to take care of the 800 plus animals on the site. These funds would usually come from tickets and on site purchases.

With the current loss of income, the park is relying on the generosity and support of viewers, who are urged to donate whatever they can via the JustGiving page here.
