An appeal to install a life-saving defibrillator outside an East Kilbride community centre raised more than £1700 in just eight days.
Now the equipment has been installed at The Village Centre thanks to the generosity of the local community and businesses.
East Mains community council provided a grant of £500 with those using the centre also donating.
A local business also stepped in to make up what was needed - around £700 - and Lanarkshire electrical firm ETS installed it free of charge.
It is located on the outside of their building, near the kerbside, available to use by anyone who needs it.
Village Centre manager, Joanne Gray, told Lanarkshire Live: "We are over the moon that the defibrillator was installed this week.
"We raised the cash just eight days after we put the appeal out which is just amazing and down to the generosity of the local community.
"There are probably thousands of people in and out the centre every week and it's not just for them - if its the nearest in an emergency, it's for the whole community - that's why it is outside he building.
"It is really easy to use, it literally talks you through everything, but I will put a wee video up on our page for anyone that's unsure."
Joanne added: "Installing a defibrillator is something we have been really keen to do for a while, but no charity has the spare funds really, particularly at the minute.
"We never want it to have to be used but it's a comfort knowing it is there and could save someone's life if necessary.
"We are so passionate about helping the local community and feel this will be a fabulous benefit to those visiting the centre and also those nearby."
