Many people love having freshly painted nails – but while the process of doing it can be both calm and therapeutic, it can be incredibly frustrating.
You've spent ages filing your nails, pushed your cuticles back, and then painstakingly varnished each fingernail – multiple times.
You might try to blow on them, or even apply a product that is supposed to help them dry quicker – but no sooner are you finished, then. you notice a huge smudge on them.
No matter how long you wait for your nail polish to dry, it's never long enough. We've all been there, and it's really annoying.
Luckily, an online beauty content creator called Rakhee, of Rakhstar Beauty, has shared an incredible hack which she says has been a "life saver".
The beauty lover took to TikTok to share her tip, which won't cost you any money. She simply grabs a glass of water, adds ice, and dips her nails into it after painting.
Rakhee, who posts under the username @_rakhstarbeauty, said: "Dip your nails in ice water after painting them and they will dry instantly."
In the video, she could be seen dipping her nails into a glass of water with ice, and then she's able to touch them, without smudging.
However, Rakhee who has said this tip has been a "life saver" added that this only works if you paint "thin layers".
In the comment section, people were blown away by the nail polish hack, with one person saying: "You may have just saved me."
Another added: "Omg you might just have saved me so much time because I'm about to do my nails right now and never knew."
A third added: "Saw this hack on YouTube years ago, and I've been doing it ever since. Perfect."
