Liel Abada Celtic transfer interest as Southampton 'ready' £10m move with Hoops ready to 'listen'

Celtic are ready to listen to offers for Liel Abada this summer with Southampton preparing a £10million move, according to a report.

The Daily Mail state that the Parkhead club are prepared to hear out interested parties after talks over a pay rise for the Israel international failed to secure an extended agreement. They say talks over fresh terms have reached a stalemate with no signs of things changing.

We told yesterday how Macabbi Petka Tivka chief Avi Luzon claimed the Celtic star wanted to be SOLD in the summer and a move south of the border is over 90 per cent likely. Speaking in an interview with One Sport, he claimed: "I believe he will be sold in the summer to the Premier League. There were talks already in the last window, but he didn't want to be sold.

"They offered him a contract extension and I know he didn't agree, because he wants to be sold. I don't know the names of teams, but there are offers and I believe at a probability level of over 90% that he will move to the Premier League in the summer.

"I hope that he will continue to score goals until the end of the season and then he will be sold for sure."

Abada has established himself as a real favourite at Celtic and has been excellent since making the move to Scotland. He's scored 27 goals and provided 18 assists in all competitions since arriving in Glasgow and has tasted trophy success. This season he picked up huge experience in the Champions League including two appearances against powerhouse Real Madrid.

Ange Postecoglou sold Josip Juranovic and Giorgos Giakoumakis in January to Union Berlin and Atlanta United. Both arrived at the club 18 months ago - like Abada - who now looks set for summer interest with three years to run on his current terms.
