Lidl urgently recall Alesto Mixed Nuts over milk allergy fears

Lidl Northern Ireland have urgently recalled one of their mixed nut products due to undeclared ingredients.

Packets of Alesto Mixed Nuts Mediterranean Style Red Pepper are being recalled because the product contains milk which isn't mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Lidl are advising customers to return them immediately.

The pack size is 150g and all batch codes and best before dates are being recalled.

A Lidl spokesperson said: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund, with our without a reciept.

"Lidl wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

"Any customers with queries or concerns can contact our Customer Services number 0800 051 63 63."

This product is only sold in Lidl Northern Ireland stores.
