Lidl, Tesco and Costa in urgent recall of biscuits, chicken nuggets and more

Tesco, Lidl, M&S and Costa are all recalling products this week, with customers urged to return them to store as soon as possible.

The retailers are recalling products for several reasons including they could be contaminated with salmonella and over allergy concerns.

Products affected include chicken, curry and biscuits.

The alerts have been published online, on either the Chartered Trading Standards Institute website or by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

If you have purchased any of the affected items, you can return them for a full refund and no receipt will be required.

Here's all the products that have been recalled this week.

Costa

Costa Coffee is recalling Jammy Rudolph Shortcake because it contains egg which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg do not eat it.

Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Lidl

Lidl GB is recalling Red Hen Breaded Chicken Nuggets and Red Hen Southern Fried Chicken Pops because salmonella contamination has been found in some of the products in the batch.

  • Best before- 05 February 2022

If you have bought any of the above products do not consume them. Instead, return them to a Lidl GB store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.

Alternatively, dispose of the product and email customer.services@lidl.co.uk, including photo of the affected product with Best Before Date and Lot Code. The team will process this refund via letter.

Tesco

Tesco Finest Festive Fruit & Nut Selection (FSA)

Tesco is recalling Tesco Finest Festive Fruit & Nut Selection after some items were 'miss packaged'.

The supermarket giant is recalling the product after some packs were miss packaged as Tesco Finest Festive Dark Chocolate Brazil Nuts and therefore sulphur dioxide is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.

The correctly packed product is not affected by this recall.

If you have bought the above-mispacked product and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites, do not eat it.

Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought or if preferred, contact Tesco’s Customer Helpline on 0800 505 555 for a full refund without returning the product to store.

Marks & Spencer

M&S curry (FSA)

Marks & Spencer is recalling M&S Balanced For You Red Thai Chicken Curry because it contains milk which is not mentioned on the label.

Due to a packaging error, the Red Thai Chicken Curry was mispacked with Aromatic Lamb Curry which contains milk.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
