Black Friday is almost here which means supermarkets and online retailers are battling it out this week to offer shoppers the best bargains in stores and online.
One of the most popular deals to be found during the sales season is on 4K TV’s, so if you’re thinking about upgrading or looking to tick something off someone’s wish list, now is the time.
Earlier this month, Asda revealed it would be offering a 50-inch 4K TV from Polaroid with support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) for just £269 that comes complete with Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube apps.
And now, Lidl has unleashed its own Smart TV bargain for Black Friday and is selling a Sharp 50-inch 4K TV for £299 - a saving of £100 on the usual £399 price tag.
Unlike the TV from Asda, the Sharp set is powered by Android TV, which is developed by Google and is compatible with a huge number of streaming apps and games.
Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, Google Play Movies, iPlayer, ITV Hub, and more are all available through Android TV.
It also supports Google Assistant, which lets you find new movies and television shows by speaking into the remote.
And because it’s an Android TV, it supports the Chromecast standard built-in.
Like the 50-inch television available instore in Asda, the 50-inch Sharp TV supports HDR and 4K Ultra HD.
There are also two full-sized USB ports plus four HDMI ports and it comes with a one-year warranty.
Lidl is selling the 50-inch TV instores on Black Friday itself and says the TV will only be available “while stocks last”.
In other words, if you visit your local store on Friday, November 27 and it’s gone, it won’t be back in stock.
