A Lidl supermarket in Bristol will close for around three months to allow for an ongoing refurbishment to be completed.
Construction on the extension and modernisation of the branch in Lawrence Hill has moved into the final stages of development.
To enable the final improvement works to take place, the store will be closed from 6pm on Saturday, May 8 until late July.
The transformation will result in a "significant improvement to the customer experience," said a spokesperson for Lidl, as well as enabling a "greater offering to the local area".
During the period of closure, shoppers will be able to visit nearby stores on Halls Road, Kingswood and Muller Road in Horfield.
The works at the Lawrence Hill supermarket will result in a larger sales area, an improved in-store bakery, additional cycle parking and electric vehicle charging spaces.
Store colleagues currently working at the supermarket will be reassigned to nearby Lidl stores until the work is complete.

Work is also currently under way on building a new Lidl supermarket in Bristol city centre, at the site formerly home to clothing retailer H&M. This store is expected to open in spring 2021.
