German supermarket Lidl has cut the price of roast dinner veg to an astonishing 15p a bag ahead of Christmas.
The budget retailer's first four are available in store from today (Wednesday 18th December), but shoppers might need to be quick as when it's gone it's gone.
More deals will be launched tomorrow too - when there will by 6 different roast dinner essentials for 15p a bag each.
Lidl's Ryan McDonnell said: “Our customers can trust that we will never be beaten on price. We will always strive to deliver the highest quality for the best value not just for Christmas but every day of the year.”
This is Available for 15p now:
- British Brussel Sprouts - 500g
- British Carrots - 1kg
- British Red Cabbage - 1kg
- British Parsnips - 500g
Available for 15p from Thursday 19th December
- British Mini Roasts - 1.5kg
As well as festive veg for 15p, Lidl is also selling half a kilo of Echalion Shallots for just 29p.
Elsewhere in supermarkets, Aldi has also cut prices, selling Brussels Sprouts (500g), Carrots (1kg), Parsnips (500g), Red Cabbage (each), Swede (each) and Potatoes (2kg) for 19p each.
Meanwhile at Tesco a 500g pack of sprouts will set you back 59p, although carrots are on sale right now, costing 29p for a kilo instead of the usual 58p.
Parsnips are also 29p for 500g right now at Tesco, while red cabbage is 59p - down from 79p, while swede remains at a hefty 80p .
At Tesco, potatoes are 29p but for 2.5kg rather than 2kg, making them only slightly more expensive than Aldi.
But the winner is Jack's - Tesco's value brand - where sprouts, parsnips, carrots and swede are all currently at 13p as part of their "Fresh 5" deal. You can see if there's one open near you yet here .
