Lidl slashes its Christmas veg to 15 pence

German supermarket chain Lidl has slashed the price of some of its vegetables to 15 pence in time for the festive season.

It means shoppers will be able to get brussel sprouts, carrots, red cabbage, parsnips and potatoes for under £1.

The price-drop starts today with the vegetables priced at 15p. British mini roasts will drop to 15p tomorrow.

The chain is also selling Birchwood Farm British Red Tractor and RSPCA-assured Turkeys for £2.89 per kg.

The supermarket claims it is offering the most affordable option for shopping this Christmas.
