A £1.69 Lidl product that has been described as a ‘game-changing’ alternative to McDonald’s has polarised opinion among shoppers.
A snap posted to Facebook group Snack News and Reviews showcased the budget supermarket’s 12 chicken nugget box, reports Liverpool Echo.
The box appears to have similar branding to that of the famed burger chain and comes with a curry and sweet and sour dip.
More than 16k people have added comments to the post, with some saying that it could be a weekend fast food game changer.

One person said: “Game changer for you if they’re like Maccies.”
Another tagged her friend and joked: “Saturday night game changer. When we decided we need more food.”
When asked how they compare to McDonald's, one shopper said: "I have had them before, they taste the same."
Another Lidl customer said: "I've has these before and they are yummy," while another added: "I buy these we love them.
Lots of others commented that they would be heading straight to Lidl to try them with a staff member commenting: "As a staff member, I can say they do sell pretty fast."
But some said they weren't impressed.
One person commented: "Don't bother they are horrible," while another said: "'Made from chopped and formed chicken meat' it doesn't say 100% Chicken which is throwing me off.”
Another added: "Haven't had them but I expect they are full of anything but chicken. Read the ingredients chicken is minimum," with another saying: "The term 'chopped and formed chicken meat' concerns me."
Finally one person said: "Bet a tenner these taste cardboard."
Lidl shops remain open during lockdown and people are allowed to go shopping when needing to buy essential items including food and medicine.
