Lidl shoppers call customer's checkout behaviour 'absolutely criminal'

A Lidl customer's checkout behaviour has been branded "absolutely criminal" after a post by a fellow shopper went viral.

The customer at the supermarket was photographed with his items on the conveyor belt as he waited to be served by the checkout staff.

And while this initially may seem normal, it is the fact the customer's bakery item was placed directly onto the belt without a bag which has left other shoppers shocked, reports the Daily Star.

When sharing the image on Twitter the customer who witnessed the move said: "Can’t stop thinking about this absolutely criminal behavior in Whitburn Lidl."

Since the post was shared it has unsurprisingly gone viral with other Twitter users quick to share their disgust.

One said: "May as well just lick the conveyor belt"

A second said: "No bag just germs and vibes"

A third added: "He's obviously planning on washing his croissant when he gets home!"

And a fourth said: "I went Sainsbury’s to buy some muffins today and someone picked up a cinnamon danish with his hand and put it back to get another one. Never trusting the bakery again unless it's packaged."
