Lidl Ireland will introduce face masks for sale across all stores from Wednesday.
The retailer brought in a number of coverings both for staff and general sale.
They will be sold at cost price, with a Lidl spokesman insisting selling them without a markup is the "right thing to do".
The masks will be sold in a pack of 50, at a price of 87 cent per mask.
However customers were reminded that the masks are not medical grade standard.
A spokesman said: "We will be introducing face masks for sale from Wednesday 13th May across all stores, sold at cost price.
"We have prioritised a quantity for staff use, with the remaining volume going on general sale.
“These will be sold for €43.30, for a pack of 50 masks. These masks are non-medical grade.
"Lidl are selling these at cost price because we believe this is the right thing to do.
"The health and safety of our team and our customers is very important to us and we want to thank everyone for continuing to play a part in helping the fight against Covid-19."
It comes after earlier this week Lidl launched a new feature showing the quietest and busiest shopping times at all their stores.
The feature uses real-time data and customer transaction statistics to allow customers to plan their shopping trips.
To access the chatbot, customers are asked to visit www.Lidl.ie/Quiet on a mobile device, which will open up a WhatsApp chat.
From there, users can simply text the number provided with details on the date they would like to shop, and the system will find the ideal time.
