After what feels like a lifetime of waiting, Lidl’s popular packs of churros are finally returning to stores as part of the retailer’s Spanish Week.
The sugar-coated pastries, which flew off shelves last time they were on sale, are a popular traditional Spanish treat.
Made using choux pastry, the donuts are deep fried, and are traditionally served with a delicious chocolate dip.
Lidl’s version comes pre-cooked in 500g bags, and can be heated up at home in no time.
The churros will hit shelves in Lidl stores from Thursday August 8 – but they’re likely to sell out fast, so if you want to get your hands on some, it’s advised you head to a store sooner rather than later.
Also included in the supermarket’s Spanish week offerings are a 1.1kg Air Dried Ham, which comes complete with knife and cutting board for just £14.99, and Spanish cheese board and Spanish tapas meat platter - which both cost £1.99. If you’re after some refreshing cold soup, there will be pots of gazpacho in store for £1.49.
And the tapas options don’t stop there, as from August 8 Lidl shoppers will also be able to get their hands on battered squid rings (£1.99 for a 500g bag), Patatas Bravas (99p for a 600g bag), and Salsa Brava to accompany the potato dish (£1.29 per jar).
Stores will also be selling three different types of Spanish omelette – Bacon & Pepper, Spinach and Chorizo – which retail at £1.99 each.
Lidl’s Spanish week is available in stores from Thursday 8th August while stocks last .
