Lidl's festive offering is here with a heartwarming ad that pushes "a Christmas you can believe in."
The ad, which aired this evening on ITV during Coronation Street , reiterates with its message Lidl's tagline of "Big on quality, Lidl on price."
Throughout the ad, we're reminded of the more intimate moments at Christmas, between loved ones and friends.
Opening with an image of a snowy house, decorated to the rafters and gleaming with light, the camera zooms out to show it's the side of a Lidl truck.
A voiceover tells us Christmas doesn't need to be big and flashy - but down-to-earth, comfy, warm and loving.


"Here at Lidl," the voiceover tells us, "We're big on Christmas. Not that sort of Christmas! A Christmas you can believe in!"
As the truck pulls away, we see a Lidl with shoppers going about their business.
The voiceover continues: "Big on the most wonderful time of the year. The nights getting colder and the wine getting hotter.
"Big on naughty...and nice. Big on award-winning, sparkling. Love actually being in the air. Big on dashing through the shop, filling up your sleigh and jingling all the way."


It adds, "Big on that perfect gift", as a dad selects a keyboard for his daughter.
"Remember her trumpet phase?" the mum says, putting it back.
"Big on a real British Christmas," the voiceover adds as turkey is served on Christmas day, "With all your dreams coming true.
"And addressing her royal subjects!" A little girl is seen wagging her finger at mum and dad.
"Big on believing in the Christmas spirit, feeling like a kid again, and the joys of giving. Big on a night that's anything but silent.
"Big on a Christmas you can believe. Now that's big on quality, and always Lidl on price."

Ryan McDonnell, Commercial Director at Lidl GB, said: "Christmas is often a time for make believe so this year we wanted to show our customers that we're big on a Christmas they can really believe in.
"Our focus on high quality at Lidl prices ensures shoppers don't have to compromise, and can have everything they want this festive season, whether it's our Hortus gin range, premium cheeses or free range turkeys."
Creative Directors at Karmarama, the advertising agency who created the ad, said that the version of Christmas they want to get across is better than the one in the flicks.
Joe Holt and Luke Ramm said: "There's a better Christmas than the one we see in films. It's one where love is actually in the air, where family and friends enjoying great food and drink is all that matters.
"It's a Christmas you can believe in and you'll find it at Lidl."
