We’re set to see glorious weather this week as the country bathes in blue skies and sunshine and the mercury nudges the 30 degree mark.
But while we’re excited to soak up those rays, the heatwave may start to feel uncomfortable for your pets. Luckily, help is at hand from Lidl who is selling a shaded sunbed for cats and dogs - for £19.99. A similar design on Amazon is more than double the cost.
Raised off the floor on four legs to provide extra ventilation, the shade arches over the bed to give your pooch some respite from the summer sun. The roof is designed to protect your pet from UV50 and it’s lightweight too so you can move it around the garden to cooler spots as the day goes on.
But that’s not all. As part of Lidl’s Pet Week, the supermarket is also selling products like a Dog Pool (£29.99), Nerf Water Dog Toys (£6.99), including Super Soaker Squeak Shark, Mega Tuff Ring, Flyer or Super Soaker Squeaker Tug Ray.
More of a cat person? Treat your feline friend to a Grumpy Cat Cat Toy (£2.49) or Simon’s Cat Scratching Post (£9.99), which will keep them engaged and groomed all summer long.
