Lidl recalls ten flavours of baby food pouches due to possible presence of mould

Lidl has issued a warning to families across the UK following a mouldy baby food scare.

The Lupilu baby food pouches have been deemed unsafe to eat as there is a possibility of the products containing mould.

Parents are being advised to return the pouches to Lidl stores for a full refund - with or without a receipt.

In a statement Lidl wrote: "Lidl GB wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

"Any customers with queries or concerns can contact customer services on 0307 444 1234."

Which products are being recalled?

The following products have been affected and should be returned to your local store:

  • Lupilu Organic Baby Fruit Pouches, Stage 1 (120g)
    Apples and strawberries; bananas and apples; bananas and peaches

  • Lupilu Organic Baby Fruit & Veg Pouches, Stage 1 (120g)
    Apples, carrots and parsnips; butternut squash, apples, carrots and prunes; sweet potato, pumpkin, apples and blueberries

  • Lupilu Organic Baby Apple Pouches, Stage 1
    5 packs (5 x 90g)

  • Lupilu Organic Baby Breakfast Pouches, Stage 2 (100g)

Lidl has recalled 10 flavours of Lupilu baby food pouches (Lidl)

No other Lupilu products are are affected by this recall.

Lidl will also be displaying notices in all UK retail stores that are selling these products.
