Lidl, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Co-op have are among the supermarkets to issue important recalls for food products this week.
People who shop at discounter Lidl have been warned about a brand of beef and pork mince that may contain pieces of plastic that would make the product "unsafe to eat".
Tesco has recalled a pack of biscuits with a specific best-before date because they contain peanuts which are not mentioned on the label and pose a possible health risk to people with allergies.
Morrisons and Sainsbury's are among the supermarkets recalling range of fried chicken products over fears of salmonella.
The recalls have been posted on the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website with customers urged to return products to stores for refunds, BirminghamLive reports.

Lidl
Lidl has recalled Birchwood Beef and Pork Mince (23 per cent fat) because it may contain pieces of plastic.
The possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat.
The use-by date on the packs is March 1.
Morrisons and Sainsbury's

SFC Chicken Poppets and Take Home Boneless Bucket have been recalled because salmonella has been found in the product, the Food Standards Agency said.
SFC Chicken Poppets were also sold at Tesco.
Fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps are among the symptoms of salmonella poisoning.

Also recalled was the Chick Inn 32 Jumbo Chicken Nuggets because salmonella has been found in the product, the Food Standards Agency said.
That product was made by Vestey Foods and sold in Heron Foods stores, B&M and B&M Express only.

Unisnacks Europe has recalled Meiji Hello Panda Cocoa Biscuits with Matcha Green Tea Flavoured Filling because they contain peanuts, which are not mentioned on the label.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.
