Lidl is looking to beat Ikea at its own game with a brand new range of Scandinavian inspired furniture and homeware.
From September 1, shoppers will be able to buy cotton rugs with geometric patterns alongside their groceries.
Lidl says similar rugs are on the market for £400 but their own savvy customers will be able to pick one up for £16.99.
Lidl promises the line of ‘hard-wearing’ furniture will ‘transform any home’ although it remains to be seen whether the quality of the items will compare to their luxury equivalents.
Prices start from as low as £4.99.
New items include a range of items, from a ‘pastel-hued’ Plant Pot with Stand to a ‘chic’ Storage Bench.
The new items will grace stores from Sunday (September 1)and will be available to customers while stocks last.
