Lidl launch fancy hyaluronic acid skincare range - and prices start at £1.49

Hyaluronic acid might sound scary, but it's recently begun being touted as the key ingredient for flawless, hydrated skin.

Usually setting you back a fair few pennies, luckily Lidl has now launched its own skincare range containing the magical substance - and it's a lot cheaper than the rest of the high street.

Prices start at just £1.49, with Lidl's fancy new skincare range including a variety of products including cleansers, gels and micellar water - all of which contain hyaluronic sodium.

Everything in the six-piece range is under £3 - dramatically cheaper than anything else on the high street, with the next most affordable option we could find being The Ordinary's 2% hyaluronic acid, which costs £5.90 at Boots.

Meanwhile, Glossier's version is £24 a bottle, whilst Wild Nutrition's capsule form is a whopping £40.

Just in time for the harsh winter weather, the cult ingredient is claimed to boost skin's moisture levels, with the naturally occurring formula acting like a water reservoir in the skin to keep it looking fresh and hydrated.

The cheapest item of the lot is the Hydro Expert by Cien Micellar Water for £1.49, an easy addition to your beauty cabinet for taking off your make-up and cleansing your face every night.

There's also three different moisturiser gels in the range: Hydro Expert Aqua Gel (£2.99) and Hydro Expert Hyaluron Gel (£2.99) which are great for all skin types, whilst those with dry skin could opt for the Hydro Expert by Cien Creme Gel (£2.99).

The last two items in the range are the Hydro Expert by Cien Cleansing Lotion (£1.99) and Hydro Expert by Cien Cleansing Gel (£1.99) for everyday cleansing. Although if you're the type of person that can commit to a five-step cleansing routine every night... we salute you!

Everything is already in Lidl stores across the country, having officially launched today (3rd October).
