Lidl issues baby food recall over mould contamination fears

Supermarket giant Lidl have ordered a recall for ten different types of baby food over contamination fears.

The budget chain has issued the urgent recall amid concern their organic baby fruit pouches could have been contaminated with mould.

If you have bought of any of these do not feed them to your child, instead take them back to the store where you made your purchase for a full refund, Wales Online reports.

A spokesman said: "Lidl GB is recalling several Lupilu Organic Baby Food Pouches due to the possible presence of mould in the products."

The products which have been recalled are listed below:

- All variants of Lupilu Organic Baby Fruit Pouches, Stage 1 (120g)

- All variants of Lupilu Organic Baby Fruit & Veg Pouches, Stage 1 (120g)

- All variants of Lupilu Organic Baby Apple Pouches, Stage 1 (5 x 90g packs)

- All variants of Lupilu Organic Baby Breakfast Pouches, Stage 2 (100g)

Advice issued by the FSA reads: "If you have bought any of the above products do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund."

It adds: "Lidl GB wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused."
