Lidl issue recall for Lupilu Organic Baby Food pouches due to possible presence of mould

Lidl have issued a food safety recall for some of its baby food products due to the possible presence of mould.

The retailer is pulling batches of Lupilu Organic Baby Food pouches from its shelves as a precaution.

A notice posted on the Food Safety Authority of Ireland reads: "Lidl is recalling the Lupilu Organic Baby Food Pouches listed below, due to the possible presence of mould. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in Lidl stores."

Three separate products are subject to the recall, all batch numbers and all best before dates.

The first recalled product is Lupilu fruit pouches in Apples and Strawberries, Bananas and Apples and Bananas and Peaches, Stage 1 in 120g pack sizes.

Also affected are the Stage 1 fruit and vegetable pouches in Apples, Carrots and Parsnips, Butternut Squash, Apples, Carrots and Prunes and Sweet Potato, Pumpkin, Apples and Blueberries in 120g pack sizes.

The third affected product is the Stage 1 Organic Baby Apple pouches which come in a five-pack, each pouch is 90g in size.
