Lidl is selling 'one of the hardest to find' wines in the UK

Lidl shoppers can get their hands on one of the retailer’s most popular ever products this week for less than £10.

The bargain retailer, which is known for its low prices, has confirmed its Clairette De Die is returning while stock last.

The sparkling wine is said to be one of the hardest to find in the UK, with the delicate and fruity French sparkling wine a rare find in UK supermarkets.

Lidl's Clairette De Die (Lidl)

Grown at one of the few locations in the Rhône wine region that produces sparkling varieties, the Clairette De Die is lighter in alcohol with a slightly sweet and grapey taste making it the perfect balance between drier Prosecco and biscuity Champagne.

This delicate and fresh sparkling French wine has been described by Richard Bampfield, Lidl’s master of wine as “a wonderfully refreshing wine, Lidl’s Clairette De Die is a delicious option for those who find Champagne or Prosecco too dry.

“A rare find in UK supermarkets due to its relatively small production, this unusual style is not only sweeter and fruitier but also lower in alcohol - reassuringly on-trend at the moment.”

Shoppers can pick up a bottle of Clairette De Die while stocks last.
