Lidl Ireland see the funny side as customer points out glaring error on shop sign

Lidl have responded after someone spotted a sign with a clear spelling error in an Irish store.

Customer Sean Mulvhill spotted the sign in his local shop and was quick to tweet the supermarket giant.

The sign is designed to help Santa to find your house and should say "Santa Stop Here", however this unfortunate example says "Santa Tsop Here".

Sean added "Lidl you had one job" in his tweet with plenty of others sharing the funny error.

And Lidl themselves responded online, jokingly adding "Tsop the lights".

It's not clear if the sign is a one-off error or if loads of them are scattered around Ireland's supermarkets.

This particular sign was spotted in the middle aisles which reopened fully this week ahead of the Christmas rush.
