Lidl Ireland issues urgent recall of popular product over fears it could be 'unsafe' for some consumers

A popular product is being taken off shelves across Lidl stores in Ireland over food safety concerns.

An urgent recall of a batch of Culinea Paella has been issued over a labelling issue.

The ingredients are not labelled in English and the implicated batch contains crustaceans, fish, milk and molluscs.

This may make the batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of crustaceans, fish, milk or molluscs.

Additionally, the cooking instructions are not labelled in English.

An alert about the recall was issued by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland on Monday.

The Culinea Paella has a pack size of 750g, a batch code of L1354-2 and a best before date of June 20, 2023.

Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in Lidl stores supplied with the implicated batch.
