Lidl's gins win awards - especially its Hortus range. So the news that there's not just a new one in town, but that it's hitting the shops just in time for the long weekend has got fans rather excited.
More than that, the 50cl bottle of Hortus Pink Grapefruit & Elderflower Gin Liqueur costs just £11.99 for a 50cl bottle - far less than the fancier big brand versions.
What's in it?
"The small batch Hortus London Dry Gin is infused with an exuberant grapefruit flavour and matched with a delicate elderflower note to give a fresh, sweet finish," Lidl explained.
Lidl also has also created a series of cocktail recipes that will take this already excellent flavour combination to the next level.

Grapefruit and elderflower aren't just perfect summery flavours - they're also best friends with a gin and tonic.
Head to some of the swankier gin joints in the capital and this combination will frequently feature high up the cocktail menu - often with a sprig of rosemary dropped in.
Often listed on menus as "The Frenchie" - with variations called "Charleston Fizz" or similar - it's a classic of the mixologist trade.

If you're feeling fancy, or want to try something different, Lidl suggested the following cocktails that work well with their new gin:
Summer Blush Spritz
- 50ml gin
- 150ml sparkling wine or Prosecco
- Garnish with ice and a sprig of thyme
Citrus flower margarita
- 45ml tequila
- 45ml gin
- 22ml freshly squeezed lime juice
- Shake over ice and strain into a chilled glass
Pink negroni
- 20ml gin
- 20ml vermouth bianco
- 20ml bitter Italian aperitif
- Stir in a rocks glass with plenty of cubed ice
Grapefruit and elderflower Collins
- 50ml dry gin
- 25ml grapefruit and elderflower gin
- 20ml fresh lemon juice
- Top with soda or lemonade for added sweetness
