Lidl Easter 2020 opening times for Bank Holiday Monday

Any shoppers heading out to Lidl today should check opening times before leaving the house.

Like other major supermarkets, Lidl has been operating different opening times than normal due to the Coronavirus lockdown.

In stores social distancing is also being practiced, with controls on how many customers can browse at one time and extra distancing at cashiers.

However, the budget chain has now lifted restrictions on items, so you cab stock up on essentials as normal as well as treats like Easter eggs and hot cross buns.

Easter 2020 opening times

  • Easter Sunday 12 April - All stores in England and Wales will be closed. All stores in Scotland will open as normal.
  •
  • Easter Monday 13 April -  All stores will open from 8am to 8pm.

Lidl is also now offering its 'Too Good To Waste' fruit and vegetable boxes at some branches across the UK, while stocks last. They are up for grabs from when stores open to midday.

Each box costs £1.50 and contains five kilos of fruit and vegetables, which are either damaged, discoloured or have deteriorated, but are still perfectly food.

The chain are also working in partnership with Royal Voluntary Service to donate thousands of fresh fruit and vegetable bags to hospital sites for frontline health workers.
