Lidl delivery Ireland: The five spots where stores do home delivery and how to sign up

Lidl Ireland does to home delivery in a number of places in Ireland thanks to their partnership with Buymie.

The supermarket is linked to the home delivery app and will deliver in Dublin, Bray, Greystones, Maynooth and Celbridge stores.

Shoppers can browse the full menu and get it delivered to their door without the fuss of heading to their local shop - which is particularly handy for elderly people.

All customers have to do is sign-up the through the  App Store or Google Play and they can then start having a look at their local stores.

Unfortunately there is no service in the rest of the country yet - and while there is plans to expand it likely won't be during this current pandemic.

The delivery company, which recently announced a multi-year partnership with Lidl, also does delivery services with Tesco.

The multi-year partnership coincided with the latest round of funding for the business which saw €2.2 million raised.

Devan Hughes, CEO & Co-Founder of Buymie said: “We’re thrilled to be announcing this latest funding round as well as a further strengthening of our partnership with Lidl Ireland.

"The timing couldn’t be better given the current challenges faced by consumers in Ireland and worldwide with COVID-19.  I feel that it is down to emerging indigenous businesses like ours to play a key role in shaping the Irish economy to prepare it for the way the world will work and how people will shop post COVID."
