Just as Supermarket Sweep returns to our screens, you can prepare to go wild in the aisles in a new supermarket in Newcastle.
Work has long since got underway on Lidl's new South Gosforth store and the company have now revealed that it will open its doors to customers on Thursday, September 26.
Customers are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the supermarket on Benton Park Road at 8am on launch day and will be offered the chance to sample some of Lidl’s award winning products throughout the day, along with exclusive deals and offers on selected products for the first week of opening.
These include a 2-speed power drill (£9.99, RRP £19.99) from Thursday, September 26; bluetooth earphones (£9.99, RRP £19.99) from Friday, September 27 and a juicer (£16.99, RRP £29.99) from Saturday, September 28.
The new supermarket forms part of the company’s ongoing expansion and regeneration plans in the UK which will see it open more than 50 new stores a year.
The store has a 1425m² sales area and features facilities such as an in-store bakery, longer-style tills with dual packing, customer toilet, baby changing and ample parking for both cars and bicycles.
