Lidl's Christmas advert campaign has left Coronation Street fans horrified, after they spotted a familiar face.
The discount supermarket has a range of festive adverts, featuring a range of actors.
But it wasn't long before fans recognised one of them as Ben Cartwright - who played paedophile policeman Neil Clifton who raped Bethany Platt.
Viewers of the ITV soap watched as Neil got closer to Bethany, after he was revealed as a friend of Nathan, Bethany's 'boyfriend'.
He eventually stood trial for his crimes along with Nathan and other associates, and Bethany testified. He, along with his friends, was found guilty and sent to prison in October 2017.
But now actor Ben has turned up in Lidl's Christmas campaign, with some Corrie fans struggling to see past his former role.
Kris Kringleson said: "Just seen Lidl’s new Christmas ad. Is that the paedo cop that groomed Bethany in Corrie that’s in it at the end? I know the guy was just playing a part, but seems a strange choice to promote Christmas for your company."
PennGovQY said: "I'm sure I just saw the actor who played Nathan, the copper who abused Bethany on #Corrie doing a #Lidl advert."
Paul Forster said: "In scenes reminiscent of one of Nathan’s parties, Corrie villain Neil has turned up in the Christmas Lidl advert waving a bottle of booze. Festive."
