Lidl brings back £1.49 Sangria Ice Lollies to help Scots keep cool this summer

The latest weather forecast shows that Scotland is set to bask in glorious sunshine until Sunday and although our summer is often unpredictable, this year has been hotter than some popular Mediterranean destinations.

And to help Scots enjoy the warmer weather while quietly pining for distant shores, Lidl is bringing back one of last year’s most popular products to help everyone keep cool as part of its popular Sol Y Mar range.

Spanish-inspired Sangria Ice Lollies will be back in the frozen aisle from Thursday, July 22 and available in three fabulously fruity flavours - Blood Orange, Peach and Watermelon and Grape, Lemon and Orange.

All three packs cost £1.49 each, making them perfect for a sizzling hot day and with six frozen treats in each pack, sharing won’t be an issue as there’s plenty to go round.

Lidl is also launching its fan-favourite fluffy and golden Churros (£1.49) as well as a Churros Maker (£14.99), meaning shoppers can make their own traditional Spanish street food at home.

Ready to use in just two minutes, Lidl’s Churro maker allows shoppers to ditch deep fat-frying and bake these delicious mini-desserts from scratch.

These tasty treats and much more will be available as part of Lidl’s Sol Y Mar range, in stores from July 22 - while stock lasts.
