Lidl announces return of customer favourite with a price tag of just £1.19

Lidl has announced a pick-me-up treat has returned to the shelves.

The supermarket is bringing back its fan favourite Churros this week as well as launching Pasteis de Nata.

Lidl's bags of Sol Y Mar Churros always prove popular with sweet-toothed customers.

The sugary treats, made using choux pastry with a doughnut like texture, flew off shelves this time last year.

Not only do they taste delicious, the churros are ready to heat up in no time.

Lidl suggest serving them with melted chocolate, toffee sauce or hazelnut spread.

Those picking up the treat during their essential shop will also be able to purchase Sol Y Mar Pasteis de Nata.

The traditional Portuguese treat, made of indulgent egg custard and a flaky pastry tart, are kept in the freezer ready to be popped in the oven.

Available in store now, the Sol Y Mar Churros cost just £1.19 for a 500g bag.

Meanwhile a 360g box of Sol Y Mar Pasteis de Nata, which includes six pastries, costs £2.69.
