Lidl and Waitrose urgently recall food items over health fears

Shopping in the current crisis is already difficult enough, but now two major supermarkets have put out product recalls on a couple of popular items.

Lidl and Waitrose have been forced to warn customers about items that could be potentially dangerous to health.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) told customers that they should not eat the following products and are advised to contact customer services to arrange a refund if they are not making an essential trip.

Waitrose

Waitrose & Partners is recalling Waitrose N°1 Teacakes because they have been packed with an incorrect product which contains egg that is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg. No other Waitrose & Partners products are known to be affected.
