It's been a long time since most British kids were in school.
As things stand, schools will reopen in September, almost six months after they closed to children - other than those with a key worker parent or guardian - due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Children will have no doubt grown in the half a year since they were last in classrooms, while there will of course be a new group of four and five-year-olds starting school for the first time, so many parents will be looking to get ahead and save as much as possible on school uniform shopping.
Both Lidl and Aldi run annual back to school special buys, which offer shoppers the chance to kit their kids out from head to toe, including shoes, for around £10.
Lidl's school uniform sale is running now. It started on Thursday August 6, so head to the supermarket over the next couple of days if you want to grab a cheap uniform, as Lidl's specials only usually run for a week.
Aldi's school uniform event begins on Thursday August 13, although some items are available to order online now.
Sweatshirts are on offer for as little as 50p, while both Lidl and Aldi's deals include packs of two shirts for £2.49, skirts and trousers for £1.75 and packs of two polo shirts for £1.75. School shoes, plimsolls, lunch boxes and stationery are on offer too.
