Medical bodies in al-Jufra municipality complained about the dangerous epidemiological situation and the COVID-19 pandemic getting “out of control”.

The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 27 deaths in seven cities, including 20 in Tripoli, marking an unprecedented rise in the death curve since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Further, the cumulative number of cases surpassed 130,000, of which 114,305 recovered.

Despite the increase in COVID-19 infections and deaths, the daily bulletin announced by NCDC didn’t exceed 500 cases last week.

Yet, the center noted that the number of tests dropped as well.

Mayor of Jufra Municipality Saeed Abu Bakr Quringo confirmed that the municipal council doesn’t bear responsibility for any decision related to resuming education.

Any emergency that ensues from the spread of the pandemic doesn’t fall under the council’s responsibility, holding the parties that decided to resume studies “fully responsible” for the consequences.

In the meantime, the municipal council of Sabha affirmed that Oxygen is available in the medical isolation centers in the city.
