Libya arms embargo: UN investigates UAE violations

A series of drone attacks near the Libyan capital last month is being investigated by a United Nations panel of experts.

At least six night-time raids were carried out, hitting military camps of forces loyal to the internationally-recognised government.

As UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres calls for an end to foreign interference in Libya, Security Council experts believe that the United Arab Emirates is flying Chinese-made drones out of Al Khadim airbase in Eastern Libya.
