Liberty X's Michelle Heaton reunited with children after cocaine and booze rehab stint

Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton has been reunited with her children after she underwent rehab at the Priory for drink and drug addiction.

Michelle, a mum of two, says she had been 'close to death' after admitting she had been consuming as much as a bottle of vodka, two bottles of wine and cocaine on a daily basis since 2018.

Her admission to The Priory came following a gram a night, three day long cocaine binge and after her close pal Katie Price stepped in to intervene.

Michelle's who saw her family for the first time since April was reunited with husband Hugh Hanley and her children Faith, nine and AJ.

Michelle told her followers: " @hughhanley Faith & AJ you are my world. I’ve been given a second chance at life and I know I’m lucky to have that.

"I’m overwhelmed with all the support and messages I’ve received when I was in rehab and since I’ve been out.Thank you to my family, friends, people I’ve met - and not met. It really does mean a lot. X"

Following her emotional post Kerry Katona wrote 'amazing' while Danielle Lloyd added: "So proud of you babe."

Big Brother contestant Aisleyne Horgan Wallace said: "We are here for you girl, you've got this."

And Saturdays' singer Una Healey said she was 'sending so much love.'

Michelle, who went to the gym and joked 'Nice to meet you sober' also shared a picture of her reading 'Understand The Twelve Steps' in the garden as she continued her treatment at home.

She also told The Sun: "I was crying out for help when I couldn't actually ask for help. When you're an addict it feels like there's no way out.

Katie Price intervened when Michelle told her pal she wished she too could undergo rehab at The Priory

Katie then took matters into her own hands and rang Michelle's husband.

Michelle recalled: "I said ‘what are you doing?'. She went 'everything is fine', I said 'what?'. She said ‘'right, I’m with Michelle, Michelle can you leave the room’, I was like ‘what?’ and then I started to panic.'"

A few hours later Katie returned and told Michelle, "Right, you are going to The Priory."

She added: "I just feel like the most lucky woman in the world because I’m here. I get to tell my story in my words and I’m still alive."
