Liar series 2 start date confirmed as ITV reveal when gripping drama will return

After teasing fans of the show with two tense trailers, ITV have officially confirmed when the second series of Liar will begin and it's VERY soon.

It's been over two years since series 1 ended, with viewers left open-mouthed by the ending which saw serial rapist Andrew Earlham's lifeless body floating in marshland.

So the big question as we all wait for the new run of episodes to kick off is who killed him? At the top of the police's hit list is Joanne Frogatt's  Laura Nielson, who was one of Earlham's victims and seemed intent on exacting her revenge.

But, with plenty of others having a clear motive for getting rid of him, series 2, just like the first one, looks set to have millions of viewers on the edges of their seats with plenty of twists and turns.

And we don't have long to wait until we're all gripped on Liar once again as ITV have confirmed on Twitter that it will return on Monday, March 2, with the announcement leaving fans very excited.

One responded: "Love this series so much. I know what my plans are for 2nd March, cannot wait!!" and another reacted: "Brilliant ... I thought we had to wait until autumn ... I am so happy to be wrong."

At the end of last month ITV stunned Liar fans by dropping an intense teaser for series 2 completely out of the blue with Laura shouting: "There is a long list of people who had reason to kill him...I did not murder Andrew Earlham."
