LiAngelo Ball: Thunder reached out regarding possible Summer League workout

The Oklahoma City Thunder had a few players on its 2019 NBA Summer League roster who earned some attention throughout play. But there could have been far more buzz surrounding the team had LiAngelo Ball been healthy.

The younger brother of New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball and older brother of New Zealand professional basketball player LaMelo Ball (and, of course, son of LaVar Ball), LiAngelo had to receive ankle surgery this summer to repair damaged ligaments.

Prior to the decision to undergo surgery, LiAngelo was still thinking about playing in Las Vegas in this year’s Summer League. He recently expressed on the family’s reality show “Ball in the Family,” which is broadcast on Facebook, the Thunder were among the teams interested in taking a greater look at him with the possibility of featuring him on their team this summer.

LiAngelo also said the Brooklyn Nets were interested, as were the Miami Heat.
